Why are so many Companions buried in Jordan?

What are the opening hours and fees?

Most shrines are open daily and free to enter. They are cared for by local communities and the Ministry of Awqaf, so hours can vary — mornings are usually best.

How do I travel between sites?

Sites cluster in the north (Irbid, Balqa, Ajloun) and south (Karak, Tafilah, Ma'an). A car is the easiest way. Central Amman is a good base, and 2–3 days cover the highlights.
