Companion Abdullah bin Rawahah was a noble companion from the Ansar (Khazraj tribe) and one of the twelve leaders who pledged allegiance at Aqaba. He was a gifted poet who used his poetry to defend the Prophet and the Muslim community. He participated in the Battle of Badr and subsequent campaigns. He was appointed the third commander at the Battle of Mu'tah, where he embraced martyrdom after Zayd and Ja'far. He is buried in Al-Mazar al-Janubi, Karak.
