Companion Abu Ubaidah Amir bin al-Jarrah was one of the ten promised Paradise and was famously dubbed by the Prophet as 'the Trustworthy of this Ummah'. He was an early convert, migrated to Abyssinia, and protected the Prophet at Uhud. Caliph Omar appointed him commander-in-chief of the conquests of Syria. He passed away during the Amwas Plague in 18 AH and is buried in Ghor al-Awsat, Balqa.
