Tomb of Companion Shurahbil bin Hasanah

Companion Shurahbil bin Hasanah was an early convert in Mecca who migrated to Abyssinia in the second wave. He is named after his mother, Hasanah. He was one of the four main generals appointed by Caliph Abu Bakr for the conquest of Syria and successfully led the campaign to open the Jordan Valley. He died of the Amwas Plague at age 67 in 18 AH, on the same day as Abu Ubaidah. His tomb is in Ghor al-Shamali, Irbid.
