Companion Abdul Rahman bin Awf was one of the ten promised Paradise and a member of the six-man shura council appointed by Omar to choose the next caliph. He was famous for his immense business success in Medina and his legendary philanthropy, once donating his entire commercial caravans to the poor of Medina. His shrine is in Jubeiha, Amman.
