Companion Ikrimah bin Amr was the son of Abu Jahl. He grew up as an enemy of Islam but converted after the Conquest of Mecca and dedicated his life to defending the faith. He served as a valiant commander in the Ridda wars and the conquest of Syria, eventually martyred at the Battle of Yarmouk. His tomb is in Ajloun Governorate.
