Companion Abu Musa al-Ash'ari was a prominent companion from Yemen who arrived in Medina after the conquest of Khayber. He served as governor of Basra and Kufa, opened several Persian provinces, and was selected as Ali's representative during the famous arbitration at Adhruh in Ma'an. He was renowned for his beautiful Quranic recitation. His shrine is in Adhruh, Ma'an.
