The Blessed Tree is a massive, centuries-old wild pistachio tree (butm) located in the Al-Buqayawiyya desert of eastern Jordan. It is celebrated as the tree under which Prophet Muhammad rested during his youth while traveling with his uncle Abu Talib in a trading caravan to Syria. The Christian monk Bahira observed a cloud shading the tree and the branches bowing down to shade the Prophet, recognizing the signs of his future prophethood. It is located in Safawi, Mafraq.
