The Cave of Prophet Lot (Lut) is located on a mountain overlooking Ghor al-Safi. According to religious texts, Lot and his daughters sought shelter in this cave after fleeing the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah. Archaeological excavations revealed that early Christians built a church and monastery around the cave in 606 AD, celebrating it as a holy site.
