The Historical Islamic Village of Humeima is an ancient desert settlement in Ma'an Governorate. It was established as a quiet retreat in 95 AH by Ali bin Abdullah bin Abbas. It served as the secret revolutionary headquarters and birthplace of the Abbasid Caliphate, where their leaders secretly plotted the overthrow of the Umayyad dynasty.
