Prophet Shuaib was sent to the people of Midian, near Tabuk. He is known as one of the Arab prophets, and historical accounts state that his mother or grandmother was the daughter of Prophet Lot. When he called his people to establish fair weights and measures and worship God alone, they threatened him with banishment and punishment. He argued with them with great eloquence and logic, as described in the Quran. His tomb is a prominent sanctuary in Wadi Shuaib, Balqa Governorate, and has been extensively renovated by the Royal Committee.
