Companion Ka'b bin Umayr al-Ghifari was the military commander of the expedition of Zat Atlah in southern Syria. He and his fifteen soldiers called the local tribes to Islam but were met with intense resistance and martyred on the battlefield, with only one wounded survivor escaping. His shrine is located in Ghor al-Safi, Karak.
