Tabi'i Zayd bin Ali Zain al-Abidin was the son of Ali Zain al-Abidin, grandson of Al-Husayn, and great-grandson of Ali bin Abi Talib. He was a highly pious scholar, jurisprudent, and revolutionary who founded the Zaydi school. Imam Abu Hanifa praised him as the most knowledgeable and eloquent of his era. His shrine is located in Rabbah, Karak.
