Tabi'i Commander Musa bin Nusayr was the great military general and administrator of Lakhmid origin who led the Muslim conquests of North Africa and Andalusia. He was renowned for his piety and strategic genius, never losing a battle. He died in 97 AH while traveling to Hajj with Caliph Sulayman. His shrine is in Abu Nusayr, Balqa.
