The Cave of Jesus Christ is located in Umm Qais (ancient Gadara) in Irbid Governorate. Local religious traditions state that Jesus Christ sought refuge and rested inside this cave, using it as a place of retreat and teaching during his journeys through the Decapolis cities of northern Jordan.
